We live in a world filled with lots of go-getting women. Malala Yousafazi, Michelle Obama, Ava Duvernay and Beyonce are just a few examples of modern day Girl Bosses. Women are starting to top men when it comes to being ahead of the game.

Today, we see more and more women emerge with their own businesses, being at the top of their companies, and gaining recognition for their talents, but I can assure you that this did not happen overnight.

Is this achievable? Yes. Yet, pursuing your ambitions can come with a lot of challenges. For this exact reason, it is crucial to keep your mental health stable. Without a mental balance you will find trouble trying to accomplish your goals.

As women, we can become stagnant in where we are, due to fear of rejection or from being stuck in standards placed by society as to what roles women should be playing. This is where that strong mindset comes into play. Before finding your niche, you have to take a step back to make sure that it is really something you can handle. Everyone wants to go chase a bag but isn’t really ready for what comes along with it and your mental health is way more important than any amount of money sis.

As a woman in this world, you will meet a lot of people that may think that you can’t make it big because of your gender. One must be strong enough to remind themselves that they are bigger than the boxes that people will try to fit them in. If words really had the power to stop us from achieving our goals, then we wouldn’t be surrounded and inspired by the great women we look up to today. People tend to forget that the power of your words can impact your life immensely. Instead of saying that you CAN’T do something, try changing it to you WILL do something. Don’t sell yourself short either. If you have an idea, put it out there, if you don’t like something, do something about it! The world is in your hands, but without that confidence, it may miss out on your shine.
