It is December and we are all counting down the days until we can go home, see our families, celebrate Christmas and just relax. For many, this is the most exciting time of the year and almost everyone can get into the Christmas spirit. Now is the time to snuggle on the couch with a nice cup of hot chocolate, decorate the christmas tree and watch the Hallmark channel.

It is also time to break out your favorite Christmas music and scream all of the words in the car with friends and not be ashamed of it. But it can ruin the mood when you’re trying to search up songs and can’t think of which one to listen to. Well now you don’t have to worry about that, because here are  the top 20 greatest Christmas hits of all time.

1. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey

2. “Jingle Bells” by Michael Buble

3. “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” by Johnny Marks

4. “Frosty the Snowman” by Gene Autry

5. “Silent Night” by Josh Groban

6. “Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” by Bing Crosby

7. “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” by Bing Crosby

8. “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” by Frank Sinatra

9. “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” by Dean Martin

10. “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” by Idina Menzel and Michael Buble

11. “It’s The Most Wonderful Time of Year” by Bing Crosby

12. “Holly Jolly Christmas” by Burl Ives

13. “Winter Wonderland” by Michael Buble and Rob Stewart

14. “Silver Bells” by Bing Crosby and Carol Richards

15. “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber

16. “Joy to the World” by Pentatonix

17. “Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer” by Gene Autry

18. “Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt

19. “Winter Wonderland” by Dean Martin

20. “Sleigh Ride” by Pentatonix

My two favorite songs are “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and “Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer.” My friends and I have listened to them since we were young. Now that we are all in college, we come together every Christmas break to throw a  Christmas party and enjoy dinner while listening to our favorites. It’s a group of about 15 of us,  all dressed up in our  ugly Christmas sweaters. By the end of the night we are dancing and singing our favorite Christmas songs.

These songs will bring joy to you around this time of the year, leaving you with smiles on your face and a remembrance of why this is such a fun time of the year. These songs will help you get into the Christmas spirit, and help you remember that Christmas is a time to surround yourself with your loved ones and enjoy the time you have with them.
