Once you receive your Hill Card, wear it on a lanyard—on your neck—all the time like it’s a fashion accessory.

You ask everyone where else they applied to school…And emphasize how your first choice was really Brown or Middlebury.

You recognize a handful of people in your classes but don’t say hello because you only know them from the Hamilton Class of 2017 Facebook group or New Faces.

You use the trays in Commons—the bright blue signals of college innocence.

Come Friday night, you get all riled up to go out and find a party with your pack of friends from AA or OA….

…And realize that all your friends are freshmen, so none of you know anyone throwing a party.

At those “raging” suite parties, you drink Keystone Light and pretend that it’s the best beer ever…

…Because you’ve probably never been to a huge party (with drinking, so cool!) before.

You think your special because Marge always talks to you incessantly when you try to swipe in at Commons.

You try to pay for Opus with a credit card.

You get strangely excited watching Hamilton sports games…Go Continentals, beat Trinity!
