People have been known to say that life is all about the journey, not the destination. In the case of these five novels, those people would be right. You can’t miss these teens on a road trip of a lifetime.

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue: Mackenzi Lee

In this book, everything goes wrong in a way that makes you love it more. With a self-deprecating, charismatic, bisexual protagonist, his brilliant, contrary younger sister, and his adorably platonic, complicated best friend nothing goes as planned. Their original destinations were kinda the worst anyway, and I’m sure you’ll love to be a part of an 18th-century Grand Tour that is unlike any other.

Passenger: Alexandra Bracken

Whats better than a journey that cuts across time, propriety, and young hearts. Nothing, that’s what. So, when a violin prodigy gets sucked back in time and is forced to save her mother by the time travel mafia that has taken her, you know what you’re getting in for. You should enjoy this kick-butt time travel adventure built on a beautiful partnership that moves from place to place across the globe. Be forewarned the journey is tumultuous, and as a smart map maker once said, “Here there be monsters.”

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight: Jennifer E. Smith

One airport, two teens, diverging lives, what could possibly go wrong? In a heart-melting contemporary novel that takes place over 24 hours, the two test the limits of a meet-cute relationship during the hardest time in both of their lives. Nothing will ever be the same, but maybe together, that’s not such a bad thing.

Defiance: C.J. Redwine

She can track and hunt, but when her father doesn’t return from a courier mission, she is forced to put her skills to the test. The only one who can help her is her father’s apprentice, a boy who has refused her heart but will do anything to protect his master’s legacy and the daughter he left behind. Together they must battle through the wasteland and discover what has been hidden.

Rebel of the Sands: Alwyn Hamilton

The blue-eyed bandit can shoot anything from a mile away with his piercing gaze and never loses a bet. But, when a rebel passing through town is helped the blue-eyed bandit one night, both their lives will change forever. You see the bandit is a girl, trapped in a small life, in weapon-filled desert town, with a family who makes her feel even smaller. It is only when she leaves, that she discovers just how large the rest of the world is and the important role she plays in it.
