If you are a George Washington University (GWU) student, an intern, or an exchange student staying for Summer, Fall, or Spring terms in the capital of the United States and are stressed about finding affordable housing in D.C? Are you worried about finding and financing furniture and having an uptight landlord that will suck your wallet dry? Well, stress no more as University Haus handles your worries, only asking you to pack a suitcase.

University Haus is located in 10 cities nationwide, including Washington, D.C.

There are five locations across the city: Dupont, Georgetown, West End, Brookland, and Brightwood. Before moving to the West End location, Yours Truly DC Hotel, I was supposed to live on campus for the fall semester. Although every college upperclassman dreams of getting their first off-campus apartment Junior year, I had decided to live on campus as I was going abroad to Seville, Spain, for the Spring Semester. It’s difficult to find affordable apartments for only four months. However, less than two weeks before I was expected to return to campus, a housing issue came to my attention. As the time was ticking towards the beginning of school, I was still having a hard time finding a place that met my basic requirements and was in an affordable range. Of course, asking for a short-term, furnished, and walking distance from GWU apartment felt impossible, especially when you’re in a tight time crunch. As luck was on my side, I found University Haus in my search on my third day of extensive apartment hunting.

I was shocked to find that University Haus easily met my requirements for a place to live, and on top of that, I was very familiar with Your Truly as it was where my family stays when visiting the city or helping me move back for college. What’s amazing about renting with University Haus is that all amenities are included in the rent, such as private bathrooms, weekly housekeeping, student-only floors, cinema rooms, gym access, social events, and exclusive discounts on food and drinks. When I was little, I loved watching the shows where kids lived in hotels and had silly dreams of living in a hotel myself. Now, as an adult, I can fulfill that childhood dream of mine by living at Yours Truly DC Hotel.
