Why did you decide to enter the Commencement Student Speaker contest?

I decided to enter the commencement student speaker competition because I have always loved watching on Youtube inspirational student commencement speeches. When I saw the announcement for the student speaker competition, I thought to myself “why not enter?”  I’m so honored to have this opportunity. What do you hope students will get from your speech?

I hope students are inspired and encouraged to not let fear stop them from achieving their dreams and goals. Graduating from college is a major accomplishment, but fear of what the future holds can accompany this milestone. So my message on overcoming fear is something we all will have to do for the rest of our lives.  What advice do you have for rising senior?

Enjoy your last year of undergrad but also start preparing for life after college. If you want to pursue graduate school start researching deadlines for application and if the GRE is required.

What do you hope to be remembered by?

For my time at GW, I hope to be remembered as a person who was genuine, sincere and worked hard to bring positive change to campus.
