With graduation day quickly approaching for our Gustie seniors, I thought I would provide some tips and tricks for those of you who might struggle with keeping it together. Whether you’re receiving your diploma or supporting your best friend, here are five tips for looking your best for all of those graduation selfies you’ll end up taking.

1. The most important item of the day – your iPhone, obviously – will most likely end up dying at the most inconvenient time possible. Instead of having a panic attack and missing out on taking pictures with your favorite people, just pull out your portable phone charger. This one by myCharge is available at Target for only $19.99.
2. Since tears are pretty much inevitable, waterproof makeup is a must. The best waterproof mascara in my opinion is L’OrĂ©al Paris Voluminous Waterproof Mascara, available at Target for $5.89.

3. If you forgot the waterproof mascara and need to do a quick touch up, tissues will definitely come in handy. If you plan on wearing a dress, pick one with pockets! You can keep your Kleenex Facial Tissues hidden in a sleek sleeve instead of wadding them up in a ball. You can buy them at Target for only $2.39.
4. Did you hit snooze a few too many times and wake up with some serious bed head? Have no fear – just grab your dry shampoo. The messy hair look is in anyway. I recommend Batiste dry shampoo, which you can get at Target for $5.99, because it never leaves any white residue behind and it actually works!
5. Last but not least, to make sure your mascara isn’t running, your tissues didn’t smudge your concealer, and your hair is still on fleek, you’ll need your handy dandy compact mirror. This super cute one with a Mean Girls reference for a quick laugh is available at Francesca’s for $10.

Congratulations to all graduating Gusties! You finally made it and we will miss you all! HCXO!
