Five Great Places to Eat Off-Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Guelph chapter.

1. East Side Mario’s

My all-time favourite place to eat is East Side Mario’s. I’m not sure if it’s the delicious Italian food, or the all-you-can-eat bread and soup or salad. No, wait, it’s definitely the bread! This is a place where you get your money’s worth since most of the time you fill up on soup or salad, and then take your main course home for a second meal.

Recommended meal: Hell’s Kitchen Chicken (spicy)

My favourite: Cheese Cappelletti

2. Buffalo Wild Wings

Who could pass up $0.75 boneless wings on Thursdays? Not this girl! Not only do they have 16 different types of sauces, but they cook the chicken to perfection. The menu is extensive, so you won’t have to worry about a lack of options. They also have great burgers if you’re looking for something to chow down on while watching the hockey game.

Recommended: Cheese Curd Bacon Burger

My favourite: Boneless chicken wings tossed in honey BBQ sauce

3. Earth to Table: Bread Bar

Earth to Table is a quaint restaurant with a deliciously delectable menu that includes some of the best stone baked pizza ever, which changes to give customers a new variety every time they go. They also have a great selection of sandwiches and salads. So, if you’re searching for a bit of a healthier option, this is the place for you!

Recommended meal: Turkey and peach sandwich

My favourite: Apple and bacon stone baked pizza

4. Eggcetra

I can’t help but love breakfast, and I couldn’t stop myself from adding Eggcetra to this list. The menu is quite long, but every dish is unique and tasty! If you’re looking for a good hangover meal after dolla beers, check this place out! It does get quite busy though, so make sure you get there at a good time.

Recommended meal: Jambalaya omelette

My favourite: Nutty honey bee crepe

5. Fionn MacCool’s Irish Pub

I don’t often get to try Irish food, but when I do, it’s always so yummy. Fionn MacCool’s has a great bar for drinks with your gal pals, but I would suggest a nice sit-down dinner because the food is amazing and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Recommended meal: Shepherd’s pie (Irish pub classic)

My favourite: No. 1 Fish & chips
