The countdown is on! The latest streaming service, Disney+, will be here this month. On November 12, you can begin streaming content from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic, 20th Century Fox, and Marvel. The following are some of the productions I’m looking forward to watching and re-watching.

MOVIES

You can expect many of the movies you grew up watching to be included in the content available on Disney+. Some of my favorites include the “Toy Story” movies, “Monsters Inc.”, “Frozen”, “Cinderella”, “The Lion King” movies (yes, even the 2019 version!), “Lilo and Stitch”, and so many more!

I’m excited to take a shorter walk down memory lane and also watch some of my favorite “pre-teen” movies such as “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen”, “Freaky Friday”, “The Lizzie McGuire Movie”, “The Princess Diaries”, “Ice Princess”, the “High School Musical” movies, and a lot more.

Nostalgic TV Shows

I don’t know about you, but I was a total Disney girl, Nickelodeon who? So imagine my excitement when I found out so many of these Disney Channel shows I religiously watched during my school years were all going to be available on a single platform! I can’t wait to binge-watch “Phil of the Future”, “Jonas”, “Hannah Montana”, “Lizzie McGuire”, “That’s So Raven”, “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody”, and the list goes on. Bring on the nostalgia!

Original Content

Disney+ will also include a lot of original content, some of it based on past productions. Disney+ will be releasing a handful of series based on Marvel characters, which has generated a lot of buzz.

If you’re more of a Pixar fan, there will be some original animated content, also based on characters from some of the films. “Forky Asks a Question” will be based around the new character on the latest installment of the “Toy Story” movies, “Monsters at Work” is a continuation of the “Monsters Inc.” movie, and “Lamp Life” will revolve around another favorite of the “Toy Story” movies, Bo Peep. What I’m most looking forward to is the live-action original Disney+ content such as the live-action remake of “Lady & the Tramp”, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”, and above all, The “Lizzie McGuire” remake, which will follow Lizzie McGuire in her life now as an adult living in New York City.

For just $6.99 a month (or $69.99 a year) starting on November 12, you will have access to all this content and much, much more on Disney+. Each subscription will be able to stream four different programs on four different devices. If you have the time, Disney+ has released this three-hour trailer that lists every single thing that will be available on the platform. You can pre-order your subscription to the platform here. Will you be subscribing to Disney+?
