Year after year many people find themselves not knowing what to do on Valentine’s Day, a holiday that celebrates love, and end up getting stuck with some last minute plans. Unless your dog is your valentine and you’ve got plans to eat chocolates all night while watching 50 First Dates over and over.

Well guys and gals, get ready to learn about plenty of events in the city of Atlanta this month that you can either go to with friends or perhaps finally let that guy from Tinder take you on a date.

Have you got that special someone in mind that you’re thinking of asking out or waiting to be asked out? Word of advice, don’t be afraid to ask them! Make it special and fun. There’s nothing better than making memories with someone you’re really into.

There are multiple places to go in Atlanta on Valentine’s Day. If you’re single and ready to mingle,

you’d be surprised to find there are a surplus of Valentine’s Day mixers and stupid cupid Valentine’s Day parties. If you simply type into the search engine “things to do in Atlanta on Valentine’s Day” you’ll see a list of these events you can attend.

For some, they’re lucky enough to have been dating their boyfriend or girlfriend forever and they know exactly what to do. On the other hand, maybe there have been so many Valentine’s Days spent with your significant other that you need some fresh, new ideas.

Well couples, hear, hear. From February 12-14th there’s a free Valentine’s Day jazz concert at the Atlanta Symphony hall where you can listen to love songs and enjoy duets from the live performances. On the 13th, there’s also a Valentine’s Day garden party at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens with dancing and live music. Talk about romantic! There is also a Moulin rouge burlesque show on Valentine’s Day that’s supposed to be very popular in the city, if you’re feeling fancy.

For the less traditional, anti-cliché folks reading this, there is a Cupid’s undie run which includes running through the city for seven miles half naked. Running in your underwear with your Valentine sounds like a blast right! Going to dinner afterwards would make it an awesome night. Fortunately, there are a variety of restaurants in Atlanta that are both romantic and casual depending on your date. In my opinion the best dinner spots to take your sweetie out is:

  1. Café Intermezzo

  2. The Sun Dial

  3. TWO Urban Licks

  4. Houston’s

  5. The Nook

The point is whether you’re going to some hole in the wall with your stud muffin, laying out a blanket at Piedmont Park to look at stars, or just staying home and binge-watching on romantic comedies, as long as you’re spending it with people you love, there’s something to celebrate. Enjoy yourself, love yourself and be happy about all the love you in your life.
