Graduation is coming up and you need a break! After 4 or more years of constant hard work and dedication you have finally walked across that stage. What is next?

All of the homework, late nights, strenuous assignments and early mornings are enough stress as it is and the next thing most people think about are jobs and getting straight to work. This is expected of so many college graduates. I encourage you to pump the breaks for at least a weekend. Think about it. You are leaving college, possibly about to start your career, when will you have time for another break?

Take a graduation vacation. This could be going out of town for a week or weekend. This could be staying in town and partying with friends. You could go on a relaxing spa day and ignore all the stresses of the day. Graduation means great gifts and graduation money so spend a little of this to pamper yourself for the excellent work you have put in the last four years. This is a well deserved break.

Pampering yourself is good for mental and physical health. Sometimes we chase success so hard that we forget to put aside time to recover. There is probably not too many more continual stresses that occur like the stress of college. So I encourage you to take this opportunity right after graduation to enjoy the simple things in life you may have missed.

Just imagine starting off in your new field refreshed and fully rested. You will work more efficiently and have fun pictures for your social media. The graduation vacation is the way to go before starting off the next stage of your life.
