What to Wear on Valentine’s Day if You’re Single

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Gonzaga chapter.

Going to private school all of my life, I always had a very strict dress code that required me to wear khaki pants and a collared shirt. Valentine’s Day was always one of my favorite days of the year because we were allowed to wear whatever we wanted as long as it was red or pink.

Regardless if you have romantic plans or not this Valentine’s Day, it’s still fun to dress up and go along with the theme. I myself plan on drowning my sorrows in mimosas and watching The Godfather. But, I still want to look cute and festive while doing so! Here are some cute outfits inspired by the special day, specifically geared towards those single girls who don’t have a fancy dinner date to attend.

1.  Rose Moto JacketHow cute is this all-black look with the dusty pink moto jacket thrown on top? This look is so edgy yet elegant and I would wear this every day if I could.

2. Juicy Velour Tracksuit

Call me crazy, but Juicy Tracksuits are coming back! I’m calling it now and it’s time to accept it. I used to love these in my elementary days and I would be so content to wear this on my Valentine’s Day. Do you remember how comfy these things were?

3. Sassy Silk Shirt

I am seriously loving this silky “Not your baby” top. It has a great overall message and I would totally rock this on Valentine’s Day.

Happy Valentine’s Day, collegiettes! And remember: don’t throw yourself a pity party just because you’re single! Take advantage of your independence and look extra cute!
