Dear Gonzaga,

The dance is over. Throughout this past basketball season, we have journeyed together as one team, one campus, and one body of amazingly supportive fans.  We were given the opportunity to experience such an unforgettable moment, taking ourselves alongside our team to the championship.  We made history. #WitnessHistory

I know this season did not end as well as all of us had hoped. Maybe your voice is gone from screaming out in joy every 3-point shot and maybe you woke up wishing we could do it all over again. However you are feeling, we should continue to celebrate our Men’s Basketball team’s accomplishments and be proud of the many milestones they have made…

Przemek Karnowski, the basketball beast, ended his Gonzaga career with the most wins in NCAA history, adding up to 137 wins.

Gonzaga Men’s Basketball became number one in the nation for only the second time in it’s history and held that title for 5 weeks.

Nigel Williams-Goss was named 2017 WCC Player of the Year, averaging 16.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.

The Bulldogs went to their first Final Four in school history, and continued to advance all the way to the national championship game.

Our men had an amazing basketball season, one we should be more than proud of.  Our accomplishments as one, universal Gonzaga team is a testament to the heart of the Zag.  We as one student body are passionate, determined, tenacious, and a TEAM.  Continue to support our team and show them how proud we are as Zags to have seen them work so hard.  We did it, Gonzaga. We made history.

Love, a fellow Zag
