As beautiful as a snow covered college campus is, I love Spring at Gonzaga!  For those who have yet to experience their first Spring at GU, the campus essentially transforms into a summer camp. Have homework to do? Lay down a blanket and do it in the quad! Want to chill in your hammock and maybe take a nap? We have plenty of trees for that! Despite final exams, essays and projects looming over our heads, it’s almost like people drop everything and just spend time outside when the sun comes out. So with that in mind, here are 3 things you should (HAVE TO) do this spring!

1. Do homework outside

Step 1: grab blanket or towel

Step 2: bring blanket or towel, homework and friends outside (bring snacks if possible)

Step 3: find a nice spot in the quad, lay down your towel or blanket and park your butt there for a few hours. I promise it’s actually pretty relaxing! You might even get a tan!

2. Grab some friends and play a game

Whether your sport of choice happens to be soccer, football, frisbee or baseball, it’s always fun to kick off your shoes and throw a ball (or frisbee) around in the grass with your friends.

3. Have a picnic

Who doesn’t enjoy eating lunch outside on a nice day?!

Happy Spring everyone!! Hopefully we will get some sun soon in Spokane!
