Need a place to have dinner on Monday?
On Monday, March 6th, Newman Association will be hosting its annual Simple Supper (formerly known as Poor Man’s Supper). Tickets cost $5, although a larger donation is welcome as all proceeds benefit Manos Unidas, a local organization that aids the migrant community. According to their website, the organization“[promotes] the integration of the growing diverse population in Adams County through programs that facilitate cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.”
The Supper will consist of bread and soup, which adheres to the traditional idea of a simple Lenten dinner. The soup will be vegetarian, so invite your vegetarian friends too! To truly experience the idea of the Simple Supper, we encourage you to fast from Sunday night until the dinner on Monday. You may also ask others to sponsor your fast to raise more money.
