Schmucker Art Gallery recently opened their annual exhibition of student work completed in studio art classes within the past year. The works include ceramic pieces, paintings, photographs, and other various forms of media. The show features the many talented artists who comprise of Gettysburg College and who often go unnoticed. The show is very dynamic as there is no overarching theme and touches upon issues in pop culture, the environment and American society. The exhibition demonstrates the determination and work ethic of art students. Art Alliance will be hosting Student Choice Night in the gallery on April 13, 2017, where students will be able to vote on their favorite piece, as well as have an opportunity to perform poetry, stand up, or music pieces during the open mic night part of the event. Keep an eye out for upcoming events in the gallery to support the arts on Gettysburg campus.
