I love award season for one reason only: the fashion! While many celebrities wear stunning gowns by all the top designers, there are some that choose not so amazing gowns. Here are the best and the worst from this year’s Golden Globe Awards!
The Best
Alicia Vikander
My jaw dropped when I saw Alicia first come down the red carpet in this white column gown. It was totally unexpected, but she looked stunning!
Zendaya Coleman
Although some compared Zendaya’s dress to the salsa dancer emoji, this dress by Marchesa was a perfect choice for the occasion.
Laverne Cox
There’s not much more to say about Laverne in this Elizabeth Kennedy dress than she looked Simply Elegant!
Lady Gaga
A little more stripped down than normal, Lady Gaga looks gorgeous in Versace. Maybe channeling a little Marilyn Monroe?
Emmy Rossum
Although simple, this Armani Prive dress in bright red took my breath away. Combined with that gorgeous necklace? Stunning!
Jennifer Lawrence
And my absolute favorite is, of course, J LAW! Wearing Dior, Jennifer couldn’t look any better or more trendy! And hello…..look at those abs!!! I do have to say this is a huge step up from her Dior dress from the 2014 Golden Globe Awards…

The Worst
Jennifer Lopez
While canary yellow seems to be the new “in” color JLo is not representing the new trend well. This Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown has too many things going on. I never thought there would be a day that JLo would be too covered up!
Katy Perry
Besides the obvious globes joke you can make about Katy’s plunging V-neck dress, you can also poke a little fun at the pop star’s Hairspray-esque hairdo. The gown overall was underwhelming.
America Ferrera
Canary yellow strikes again! I promise I really am a fan of the color, but on something a little more stylish. This style felt outdated.
Regina King
While Regina King herself is amazing…this dress is not. As if there already wasn’t a problem with all of the sequins, the cape really was the cherry on top of this worst dressed gown sundae.
Zoe Kazan
Opposing Regina’s over the top style is Zoe Kazan with this bland gown that washes her away.
Jane Fonda
Although this gown was one of the worst at the Golden Globe Awards this year, I do hope I look as amazing as Jane Fonda at 78!
Good and bad, I can’t wait to see what gowns are to come during the 2016 award season!
