If you have worn a full face of makeup, even once in your life, you know how much of a hassle it can be to get it all off— particularly if the makeup is waterproof. I wear full-coverage waterproof foundation on a near daily basis, and taking my makeup off at the end of the day is something I start dreading before I have even finished putting it on. No matter what makeup products I use, the foundation is always sinking into my pores and the mascara clinging to my eyelashes. When I started using Garnier Micellar Water about a year ago, I was amazed at how well it takes off the makeup. Even after I have used a makeup wipe and washed my face with water and cleanser, the micellar water will still take off makeup residue that I otherwise would not have known was there.

As instructed by the directions on the bottle, I saturate a round cotton pad with the cleansing water, and pat my face with it to remove all makeup, oil, and residue from the day. Although it says that it can be used on its own, I always wash my face with a microfiber cloth and warm water to take off the majority of the makeup beforehand. Still, using the cleansing water removes a significant amount of makeup that is missed during my normal cleansing routine. The one downside to the product is that, despite saying you do not need to rinse your face off after use, I have found that it leaves my face feeling oily. This can be easily fixed by using a toner or rinsing with water afterwards though. Overall, it is a great product to have and I think it does a great job of removing my makeup. I actually have a couple of bottles, one in my room, one in my purse, and one in my car– so that I can wash my makeup off wherever I am.
