Five Reasons Apple Cider is a Better Fall Drink Than a PSL

There’s no doubt that the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte steals the stage as fall approaches each year.  Its appearance at your neighborhood Starbucks, not the autumnal equinox, signals the modern-day transition of the seasons.

But could it be that this fad is unnecessarily loved?

After all, another, more timeless fall favorite lurks in its shadow….

Pumpkin aside, apple is the flavor of fall.  As such, apple cider is unquestionably the default drink.

  1. Apples don’t have to try so hard.

How many variations are there on an apple?  Not only are there dozens of different “species,” but you can make countless other foods and drinks from them, from cider and sauce to pie and cake.  Pumpkins have PSL, pie, and jack-o-lanterns, if you’re really trying.

  2. Apple cider’s never been basic.

You can wear your North Face and Uggs with pride while ordering a cider at your local coffee shop— no one will roll their eyes like they would at certain *other* orders….

  3. Apple cider-themed cocktails are everywhere.  Why bother trying to create an alcoholic PSL?

  4. Vegans can enjoy.

That’s right, your PSL isn’t saving the animals….

  5. It will make your dreams come true.

If you can’t trust her, who can you trust??

    Happy sipping!
