It’s crazy knowing that most girls nowadays do not see each other as strong women. Most of us see each other as bitches and hoes. Every time you turn around, you got reality television shows like Love and Hip Hop and Bad Girls Club, where it seems like every single episode, two or more females are fighting over stuff like he/she talk, men, or money. Even on WorldStarHipHop, they have girls pulling each other’s hair out and pulling each other apart for no logical reason.
When did we lose respect for each other?
Now that’s not true for all women. Thank goodness for those who don’t see the point in tearing down another female for any reason, but as a woman, we have become so consumed with seeing another woman as competition and as less of themselves because that have become the norm. Women are supposed to be there for each other, stick up for each other. Now it’s understandable that we are not all going to get along. That’s just the way the world works, but it should never be to a point where we are calling each other names and fighting each other.
It’s bothersome because we are teaching the younger generation that this is how women should treat other women. There should be no respect and if there is ever any drama, fight to the death of it. Women should be uplifting each other and supporting one another. Women get degraded on a daily with these like the wage gap, the stereotypical roles on television, and the limit most place us under. Why add fuel to the fire? We have to stand with each other and make sure that we are all good.
We all want to see each other succeed and do better, but when we keep promoting foolery like fake reality television fights and social media fights, it goes to show that we either do not care to uplift each other or we are too afraid to be there for each. Promoting fake story lines like Love and Hip Hop is easy, but you do not realize the damage that you are creating.
Women are strong, multitalented creatures. We do so much for so little and will still keep going no matter the trouble. We hold down the world and make sure that everyone is straight. The least we can do is be there for one another.
