Every month I make a new playlist of songs I enjoy. This month started with so many new albums that dropped and I have compiled a playlist of my top songs that have been on repeat. I will have my complete playlist linked at the bottom.
On September 6th, EARTHGANG dropped an amazing album named Mirrorland. EARTHGANG is a musical duo formed in Atlanta, Georgia. The songs I have been playing on repeat this month have been This Side, Swivel, and Stuck (feat. Arin Ray). With that being said, the entire album is amazing and has features from Kehlani, T-Pain and Young Thug.
On September 1st, Indica a California based artist released a new song called Heartbreak Kid. Now I love Indica and his fusion between rap, hip hop, techno, and pop influences in his work. This song is a bop and sadly concludes my summer mood.
On August 30th, one of my favorite Top Dawg artists dropped a new album. SiR another Californian who is an amazing R&B singer, songwriter. The album is called Chasing Summer which perfectly describes this album. It is such a beautiful and romantic album. If you have never listened to SiR I highly recommend it. His voice is beautiful and if you ever get the chance to see him live, please do it. I saw him a few years ago before I knew who he was at the 2018 TDE tour and I cannot explain after that day I was in love with his voice. The songs John Redcorn, Mood (feat. Zacari), The Recipe, and New Sky (feat. Kadhja Bonet) are all on my playlist. The whole album is great and Hair Down (feat. Kendrick Lamar) is also amazing I just listened to it way too much when the single dropped earlier in August.
Lastly, on August 23rd, BROCKHAMPTON dropped a new album Ginger. BROCKHAMPTON is a large boy band formed in Texas with currently 13 members. I love how fun their music is. From the album, I really enjoy SUGAR, BOY BYE, and ST. PERCY.
So many other artists also dropped in the last month including Post Malone, Russ, Drake, Ariana Grande, Gucci Mane, and so many more that did not make it to my playlist. Champagne Papi obviously made it into my workout playlist.
