I just want to take the time to reflect on my favorite Lil Uzi Vert mixtape ever: Luv is Rage. He dropped it October 30, 2015. This mixtape is such a big highlight of my high school experience. It was my junior year and boy, was that a good year. My grades were great, my hair was in its prime, and I was talking to the love of my life at the time lol. I had not really heard of Uzi before this tape, but my fried Gian put me on and from then I fell in love with him.

Luv is Rage has hits like Super Saiyan, Yamborghini Dream ft. Young Thug, and All My Chains, along with many more. Whole project rides if we’re being honest. When I tell y’all Uzi did his thing with this tape, I mean that. This whole tape is like a rollercoaster, you really don’t know what you’re getting into or where it’s taking you. I was just enjoying the ride. Each song brings a different vibe to the table and I had never heard something so colorful before. I still remember when I first heard Nuyork Nights at 21. I was sitting in the back of my AP U.S. History class, sharing headphones with the loml and I just remember thinking over and over “His music taste is just great”. Music is slick the way to my heart and it’s so hard for me to find people who listen to the same things I listen to because my music taste is everywhere so, I can’t even describe how amazing it was to finally have somebody to share that part of my life with.  Luv is Rage just brings me nothing but joy because it marks such a beautiful time in my life where I was actually in tune with my emotions and care free as hell. I want to go back every time I hear it. Life was so much simpler. I was way happier. It was just an unforgettable experience. 2015 was my year of peace and I just want to thank Lil Uzi for putting that positivity in my life.
