If you know me, I tend to get stressed very easily. Stress comes so regularly it might as well be a part of my personality. But then again, who doesn’t feel the strain of everyday life– especially during these hectic times. Some of us may have switched from a faced paced life to a lifestyle that isn’t up to speed to our racing brains.

And if you happen to be like me, a girl with a racing brain and a new speed limit, maybe its time to press brake for a little while. Maybe even, turn on the radio to help you distract the busy clutter you call a brain.

Whenever my stress levels get too high, I love to listen to Lo-Fi music. Maybe you’ve heard of it or maybe you have not. Lo-fi music is generally non-lyrical, but it has elements from the oldies or “imperfections” of original music that just puts your mind at ease. The irregularities of this music can arguably be, the best part of this music. Subconsciously, you are reminded to slow down.

Leading you away from the pressure of the restless activity that surrounds you, Lo-Fi brings you to a new road–quiet and remote. Tranquility reigns and the tasks that you old responsibilities before listening, seems just a tad bit more doable. Homework and chores seem a little less tedious. Self-care nights might be just a little bit more enjoyable. And after some time on this road, you notice how important it is to embrace every imperfection so you create something just as peaceful.

So ease up on the gas and lay low with lo-fi
