Knowing your Spirit; Accepting what is to come

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Georgia Southern chapter.

College is a scary time where it can seem like everything is moving extremely fast… or extremely slow. I know that my first semester of college felt like it was going so slow because I was trying to adjust to a new life.

Now that I am progressing time seems to be moving very fast, too fast sometimes. I remember just starting the semester and here we are, it is already spring break. I still can’t believe I’m a sophomore in college; it’s all a blessing to me. That is something I have to remind myself of. Your current situation is a blessing because there is always more to come. Whatever situation you are in right now is serving a purpose for your journey. Without it you wouldn’t be able to walk into the blessings that are next to come. Whether you believe in a God or the guidance of the universe; know that life is working in your favor. And everything happens for a reason. I know that sounds so cliche but something within me has been repeating that phrase lately. I can feel it within me; good things are happening. For me and for you. God is up to something, always.

We try to make plans for ourselves and control our lives but ultimately things happen in our life for the better. Quite frankly on a schedule that we can’t always see. Almost as if the universe is always trying to prove us wrong. Just when we think we ready to call it quits and give up, the universe continues to prove us wrong. Sometime we have situations planned out in our head and the universe has a weird way of working things out for the better. Everything that is happening in your life, and I mean everything, down to each and every detail is for a reason. And one day it will start to click. Maybe it already has, maybe it’s tomorrow, maybe it’s happening right now or maybe that’s next year. But the place that you are in in your life right now is exactly where you’re supposed to be. The people in your life, the place and the situation are all there for a reason. So don’t second guess yourself and stop second guessing this life. Do what you want and have no regrets about it. Stop stressing about everything and let life flow. Let your blessings flow in and let life unfold. The answers you are searching for are on the way. Let them come to you. I found a quote on a website that reads:

“I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”

So whatever is going on in your life; embrace it. Whether it be good or bad know that it is happening the way it’s supposed to. Chill, it’s all gonna be good. Peace and Love always,
