This past weekend I went home for my cousin’s wedding, and while I wasn’t nearly as stressed out as she was about her dress, I still struggled with what to wear. Because it’s fall, I didn’t want anything too bright and summery, but at the same time wearing more wintery dresses such as black or sequined designs, seemed inappropriate. It seems trivial, but such are the worries during fall wedding season. Ultimately, I decided on a dark green Madison Marcus pintuck-panel dress with black closed-toed pumps that were Church-approved. But in case you face the same dilemma that I did last week and need a wedding outfit ASAP, here is some inspiration.
For something simple… This floaty strapless dress from J.Crew would be great. The plum purple is the perfect color for fall, and the hem hits a little above the knee so you won’t feel out of place if the wedding is in a religious building. Pair it with some fun earrings and some bangles (and bring a sweater or scarf for when it gets chilly), and you’re good to go!

For a nighttime wedding or something fancier… Try something along the lines of this dress from Ali Ro. The classic cut and metallic scalloped eyelash lace detail will add an element of sophistication to your look. Keep jewelry simple and slip on some black pumps, et voilà.

For black tie… Use this Raoul silk gown to point you in the right direction. It’s a dress with an elegant cut but modern feel thanks to the deep neckline covered by sheer chiffon. And not to mention green is the It-color of the season!
Best of luck in your search for the coolest wedding attire (and perhaps some single groomsmen!)
