The past week and a half has been anything but easy. Actually, the words “crazy” and “stressful” pretty accurately describe it. But, three costumes, three midterms, a trip to the Student Health Center and about 30 cups of coffee later, I finally made it through Halloweekend and Hell Week. Needless to say, I’m exhausted. So, at least for me, this weekend is all about relaxing and recuperating. Wrap yourself in a Snuggie, buy a pound of dark chocolate, and check out some of my favorite things to do on a lazy weekend!

  1. Manicure and Pedicure

With midterms and a constant headache occupying my mind all week my appearance certainly took a back seat, so a mani/pedi is long over due. Nothing says pampering more than having someone paint your nails while you’re sitting in an oversized massage chair! Head on over to Vicky’s Nails or Nails Chic on Wisconsin Avenue (students get a 10% discount!)

  1. Food

Leo’s is great (haha) and all, but there comes a time when you actually need a decent meal. Stress weakens your immune system and healthy food is a great way to kick start it again. Make yourself an extra filling, nutrient and vitamin packed salad at Sweetgreen followed by some delicious Pinkberry on M Street!

  1. Netflix

Probably one of the best inventions of all time, Netflix is god’s gift to tv-less college students. After all that studying, it’s time to get into your pj’s and rot your brain for hours at a time.

  1. Sleep

Self-explanatory. You can only run on 30-minute power naps for so long. Put on those sleeping masks and get some well deserved Zzz’s.
