Somehow, I’m the only one of my friends that takes a bag almost everywhere I go. My friends always ask me “Why not just bring a clutch?” when we go to the mall or to dinner, but I just can’t seem to understand that concept. So what is it that I just have to have with me wherever I go?
Obviously, I can’t go anywhere without my keys. I’ve personalized them with a key chain stitched with my letters, and of course a bunch of membership cards for different grocery stores and pharmacies (who doesn’t have at least a few of those!?).
I also can’t go anywhere or do anything without my silver wallet. I’ve been using this wallet for as long as I can remember, but when you have as many cards, receipts, and random coupons as I do, it would just be a hassle to switch.
Next up is my Chapstick, Germ-X, and Bath & Body Works Apricot Vanilla lotion. I am always using at least one of these products and would probably panic if I was ever without one of them. Plus, now that fall is here, the Apricot Vanilla scent takes me back to summer every time I use it.
I also have a pen and highlighter on hand at all times. You never know when you’ll need to jot down a quick note when reading, or be that hero who’s always prepared when someone asks “Do you have a pen?”
Gum is a necessity for me, and I’m never without a full pack in my bag. Spearmint has always been my favorite!
In case of emergency, I always carry not one, but two bobby pins. That way if my bangs get all crazy halfway through the day, I have a quick fix. My DHC blotting sheets are the newest addition to my bag – I just discovered how amazing these really are, and they work better than any I’ve tried before! They’re super handy, and besides, who wants to look shiny in November?
Last, I have my iPod and phone. These are my prized possessions and go everywhere I go. As an avid music nerd, I pop my earphones in multiple times a day. And even though I like to say that I’m not addicted to my phone, you can usually find me checking in on Foursquare more than I should and losing game after game of Words With Friends.
Check back next week for a new What’s In Her Bag? from a Her Campus staff member!
