5 Starbucks Drinks That Will Change Your Life

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at George Mason University chapter.

\With finals quickly approaching, it’s essential to find your late night studying drink. Although PSL’s and Caramel Frappuccinos will always be delicious choices, many of Starbucks’ beverages are underrated, or even unknown. If you’re looking for a new go-to drink, check out these fabulous options!

1. Caramel Apple Spice

I cannot think of a better way to describe this drink than “fall in a cup”. It’s the perfect option for a bitter night when you don’t want caffeine. The drink is simply warm apple cider with a hint of caramel and topped with whipped cream. It’s best when ordered extra hot.

2. Caramel Macchiato With Soy Milk

This is a spin on a traditional drink and great if you’re lactose intolerant. Although I love a regular Caramel Macchiato, substituting soy milk adds extra unique flavor (try substituting soy milk with any drink!). It’s a difficult taste to describe, but if this is one of your favorite drinks, I recommend trying the soy milk spin ASAP!

3. The Undertow

If you already know what this drink is, you are a true Starbucks connoisseur. You will never find it on any Starbucks menu because it’s a “secret” drink and a must-have. If you’re looking for a quick caffeine intake and despise plain espresso shots, order this immediately. Cool milk fills the bottom, and it’s topped with a shot of espresso (or two). Take it like a shot, so you get the espresso kick followed by the refreshing milk.

4. Refreshers

If you love the Passion Iced Tea Lemonade, then try a Starbucks Refresher. I feel like these drinks are extremely underrated. If you aren’t a coffee person (or just need something light and refreshing), these are great alternatives with energy boosters. They are low calorie with real fruit ingredients as well as natural energy. Refreshers also come in small packs that you can prepare at home.

5. Christmas Cookie Frappuccino

This delicious secret concoction is perfect for one of those weird, warm winter days. It is simply a mixture of regular frappuccino, peppermint syrup, and toffee nut syrup. It tastes best topped with whipped cream and a raw sugar packet for that yummy cookie sweetness.

Once you try some of these drinks, your taste buds will never be the same. Although the typical Starbucks’ drinks are always delicious go-to choices, I feel like these five options are way underrated and must be sampled. Enjoy!
