The Jonas Brothers are Back with a New Single and I’m “Burnin’ Up” for It

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Geneseo chapter.

“S.O.S!” The Jonas Brothers are back and better than ever with a new single and we’re all suckers for it!

On Thursday Feb. 28 The Jonas Brothers released a video from The Late Late Show with James Corden announcing their return. From the snippet of their new single we heard in the release video, “Sucker” sounds like it’s going to be a hit!

The video boasted Corden in his usual carpool karaoke gimmick with “Burnin’ Up” playing in the background. After a brief phone call, Joe Jonas gets into the car, shortly followed by his brothers Kevin and Nick Jonas. Trying to be coy, Corden prompted if the band’s return was a real thing. All the brothers responded with an enthusiastic yes.

The brothers are releasing their first single since the band broke up nearly six years ago.  The song is scheduled to be released March 1st and is called “Sucker.”

There have been subtle hints of a possible reunion, such as a tweet liked by Nick about a possible reunion and the reactivation of their Instagram page; however, all speculation was shut down. It seems as if the boys have been playing with fire by teasing their fans.

All three members went their separate ways after the break up. Nick recorded two solo albums, acted in some tv shows and married actress and Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra. Joe started a new band called DNCE, was a judge on Australia’s version of The Voice and also got engaged to fiancée Sophie Turner. Kevin starred in a reality with his wife, Danielle, and kids while working in other ventures such as real estate.

“Sucker” will be a pop song with a fast tempo. Joe, Nick and Kevin will also be starring on The Late Late Show with James Corden the week of March 4 to talk about their future possibilities.

Fans everywhere, including me, are freaking out over the reunion. The Jonas Brothers aren’t just boys anymore. They have all experienced completely different lives, which will hopefully have an impact on some of their music.

Until the release of “Sucker” at midnight, catch me listening to old songs and freaking out with my friends.
