10 Memes that Describe My Mood Going Into Finals Week

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Geneseo chapter.

Finals week is the time of year where every college student simultaneously combusts into stress-flames and is the most productive they’ve been all semester. How? Who knows. Someone should do a study or something. But not me, I’ve got too many final papers to write.

Here are ten memes that I found while I was supposed to be doing work for my finals that describe my mood going into finals week!

I have an entire paragraph on Eminem for a paper that I’m writing and to be quite honest I only vaguely remember how it got there. I am now about to edit half of it out of existence.

This was true of me, like, last year. I am now proud to say that I eat (possibly stress eat) and I have my own pencils in random pockets of my backpack.

I use this joke so many times in so many unique situations, but this one hit me in my soul.

This is my feelings toward a paper that I am writing for a professor who is very particular about what papers should be. This ones for you, Prof!

This is so me when I tell myself I’m going to edit my final papers. I am so guilty of going into the document, scrolling aimlessly around the essay, and closing the tab to do something utterly unproductive. Like writing this article instead of editing my Eminem paragraph in my paper…

This is everyone at Starbucks ordering their Peppermint Mochas and Caramel Brulee Lattes to drink while pouring their souls into their final papers. And yes, this is also a self-call-out.

This was me last fall in my Microeconomics final. Somehow I passed that class with a C+?

I’ve already mentioned my fated Microeconomics final, but this was DEFINITELY my mood walking into that final last year. I wasn’t right in my self-assessment, but at least I had confidence?

This would be more relatable if Kim was curled in the fetal position, but still a mood when I go to bed at 9:00 PM when I could be doing some simple work for my final projects.

I found this scrolling through Google for memes for this article and I knew I had to end on a positive note with this Egg™. In case you need a little humor: I showed this to my boyfriend, expecting a little giggle, only for him to not understand the “Grade A” joke and ask why it was good luck to grade an egg.

I hope these memes made you smile a little bit in the midst of your finals week stress! Good luck with all of your exams!

Margaux (they/them) is a senior Women and Gender Studies major at SUNY Geneseo. Outside of Her Campus, they work at Geneseo's Office of Diversity and Equity, is on the executive board of Pride Alliance, and is an active Safe Zone trainer. They love to write about diversity, mental health, and environmentalism, with the occasional goofy topic or two (or five). Margaux hopes to someday be the coolest gender studies professor you will ever have.
Kayla Glennon

Geneseo '21

Kayla is a junior English major who is optimistic but enjoys exploring lots of emotions, not just ignoring the "bad" ones. They love writing silly things but also being serious, because there are a lot of things that matter and need to be talked about, but giving yourself a break is important too. They love writing about literature but also coming up with ideas for stories of their own. Kayla is constantly just trying to be themself and trying to be around people that make them happy.
