It’s not even up for debate: Fall is the best time of year. It is that time where the weather is getting cooler as we slip into winter, but we haven’t yet reached the dreaded seasonal depression. My guide to fall can be broken down into a few categories: activities, food, and drinks.

Activities:

Fall would not be complete without movie nights. There is no better way to spend a Friday night than by getting a good group of friends together to watch spooky movies, bake the iconic Pillsbury Halloween cookies, and get cozy.

If you don’t go to a pumpkin patch/apple orchard, then you did not even experience fall. This is your chance to show off your cute fall outfits and take the most insta worthy pictures. When you are at the pumpkin patch, be sure to pick one out to bring home. Get your friends or family together to carve/paint pumpkins. This is such a fun group activity and an inexpensive way to decorate for Halloween.

Food:

Fall is pumpkins’ time to shine, and nobody does pumpkin better than Trader Joe’s. Here are some must-have items to add to your next grocery list.

Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Mix: All you need is eggs, oil, and water, and 25 minutes later you have pumpkin perfection!

Pumpkin Rolls: These bring store bought cinnamon rolls to a whole new level. The pumpkin puree glaze drizzled over the warm cinnamon rolls will have you on the way to Trader Joes to buy more before you even finish chewing.

Pumpkin Brioche Twist: Wow, just wow. This French toast recipe will change your life: mix eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla, dip the brioche, and wait for the ultimate fall breakfast come together. I like to top mine with a dusting of cinnamon, syrup, and whipped cream.

Drinks:

We all know nobody does pumpkin spice season better than Starbucks. Here are some secret menu recipes that will change the pumpkin spice latte game forever.

The brown sugar shaken espresso with oat milk was delicious on its own, but as soon as pumpkin hit the menu, I knew I had to add pumpkin cold foam, and I am so glad I did. This is a must try.

Another Starbucks drink that screams fall is an iced vanilla chai latte with pumpkin cold foam. This drink will make all of your fall dreams come true.

This drink might be complex to order but it is so worth it: Order a triple shot of blonde espresso over ice with a splash of cream, white chocolate, and pumpkin. Then to top it all off, of course it needs pumpkin cold foam.

Now, if you aren’t looking to break the bank this fall, no worries. I have the perfect pumpkin cold foam recipe. All you need is 2 tbsp of heavy whipping cream, 2 tbsp of half and half, and 2 tbsp of pumpkin puree. Froth the ingredients together until thick and then poor on top of your favorite iced coffee.

There are so many different ways to enjoy fall. It’s my favorite time of year, and I hope these activities and recipes make it your favorite time of year as well!
