It is always a fun time watching reality TV and being able to realize your problems aren’t that big of a deal. My favorite activity is being able to hang out with my best friends and watch some good reality tv. The reality tv shows that I have been loving recently are The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, the new season of The Kardashians, and Love is Blind. These shows have helped my friends and I be entertained and have made us forget about the stress of finals coming up. These shows overall are binge-worthy, and dramatic TV shows that will definitely bring out a good laugh and create bonding moments.
The Secret lives of mormon wives
This show is a series that follows the personal lives, relationships, and hidden struggles among Mormon wives in Utah. It focuses on how the family-oriented public image often associated with the Mormon culture can be more complicated than it seems. The reality among how the women navigate their lives behind closed doors is very broad. Each episode helps highlight the real-life issues of how marriage tension, faith expectations, pressure from their community, and identity crises affect them. Additionally, friendships are formed and tested among conflicts that occur. Many of the wives in general are tested with traditional gender roles including homemaking, while also trying to pursue their own personal ambitions and independence. Lastly, the series also touches on topics like secrecy in marriages and the emotional disconnect that comes with it.
the kardashians
This show focuses on the Kardashian family and follows with their new series on Hulu after a small break of not being on tv for a while. They mainly focus on the Kardashian sisters Khloe, Kim, Kourtney, Kendall, and Kylie and how they all navigate their lives and businesses. Additionally, their mom Kris will pop in and cause some drama among them to keep things interesting. They emphasize real arguments and happy moments that make the family who they are. This is able to show how authentic each person is and the conflict and struggles they go through in their personal and professional worlds. It can also be really funny and heartwarming through every episode you watch because it helps you relate to their own life in some way. Lastly, it shows their real arguments and heartfelt moments to make one realize that just because they are famous doesn’t mean they aren’t human. I highly recommend watching and grabbing your favorite people to watch with you.
love is blind
In addition to the reality tv shows I mentioned, Love is Blind is another favorite that is a mix of romance and drama among men and women in the dating scene. The show first started at the beginning of the covid pandemic and quickly grew from there. They start off with talking to each other through pods and the final five couples that make it are tested to see if their love is truly blind. For example, the couples that make it then get engaged and are tested on a tropical getaway before they enter the real world. Once they get into the real world, they are then faced with the real life challenges of living together and seeing how their real lives align. It helps them overall to look past their shallow personalities and helps connect with one another on a deeper level. This is able to test their own physical connections as well as deeper ones. There are definitely ups and downs throughout the show but can get you hooked wanting to see what is next through each episode. This is overall a good show to watch if you love romance with a little bit of drama.
conclusion
These reality tv shows offer the perfect escape to the stress of finals and everyday life. They can help remind all of us that no matter our background, status or relation ships, we all face challenges and personal growth. Watching these shows with your friends can provide entertainment but also create connection.
