I understand that everyone has wondered how long each Marvel superhero could survive in college, but there isn’t much information out there in the media with answers to this long-awaited question. No matter if you are a superhero fan, or hate Marvel because of how they have changed their iconic comic book characters into something completely different, this is an interesting question that must be answered. Fear no more, I have come to answer it for you.

10. Bucky Barnes (The Winter Soldier)

Before our politician was known as Senator Barnes in the latest Marvel movie Thunderbolts, he was the ruthless Winter Soldier controlled by Hydra for almost a century. Because of his mental instability, I believe that he would crash out very early on in college from people that he would deem “incompetent.” Sometimes those people make me want to crash out as well, so I understand you, Bucky.

9. Thor

As one of the most powerful gods in all of Norse Mythology, Thor—although not the smartest on the Avenger’s team—has proven his abilities time and time again, saving Earth and Asgard from all evil. Because of his lack of intelligence compared to the other members of the superhero team, I believe that Thor would struggle with classes very early on and ultimately leave college early because he believes that a King doesn’t need to go to college. He most likely believes that he has gotten enough “experience” to live his life without college.

8. Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch)

The powerful superhero, although intelligent in her own way, would resist the typical college life and want to just be with her brother, Pietro. She would focus on her abilities and most likely drop out of college after the first semester because hse misses her bother and her home in Sokovia.

7. Vision

I know it sounds crazy because Vision is literally a computer system turned into a humanistic being by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, but hear me out. Seeing that this generation is growing up in the world of AI, I believe that he would get flagged for using ChatGPT to complete his homework and therefore be kicked out of college very early on.

6. Clint Barton (Hawkeye)

Although most people don’t know who he is, Clint is a very talented human being. Outside of his incredible archery skills, I believe he is very average when it comes intelligence. He would definitely try his best when it comes to classes, but overall I think he would make it all four years as a B+ student. I also see him going into engineering or business to help support his family and to build a stable living for his wife and kids.

5. Steve Rogers (Captain America)

As golden-retriever as this man is, I believe that Steve would do okay at college but not amazing. He is not the smartest person on the team, but he is definitely a critical thinker, which I think will help him in the long run. I don’t see Steve being the top of his class, but he will absolutely finish all four years and be very active in the college community.

4. Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow)

I believe that Natasha would work very hard at being a college student and use the clubs and teams as ways to express herself after being oppressed in the Red Room. She focuses on doing well in her classes and join either the dance or cheer team to utilize her flexibility and control. Being as intelligent as she is, Natasha will end up in the top percentile, but couldn’t care less if she is the best.

3. Peter Parker (Spider-Man)

While he is a child and younger than everyone else on this list, Peter is one of the smartest people in all of the Marvel universe. By using his amazing memory and intellect, Peter will definitely make it to the top of his graduating year, with just enough time to be the friendly neighborhood superhero for his campus. That is, if people even remember who he is.

2. Bruce Banner (Hulk)

Although the Hulk has not shown to be very bright compared to his human counterpart, Bruce Banner has proven that he is incredibly intelligent. With this wits and brain, I believe that he will make it to the top of his class and even skip a few years, just as long as no professors make him mad.

1. Tony Stark (Iron Man)

I know I don’t have to explain this to anyone, but Tony is the smartest person in the Marvel universe and will absolutely top the dean’s list of any college that he gets into. I don’t think that he would last more than a year because I believe that he would find a way to fast track his college education into a short time so he can get back to his business or continue upgrading his Iron Man suits. Although, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tony found himself at a Sorority each night flirting with girls and throwing parties.
