*Spoilers Ahead*

Pouring out your heart and being vulnerable is not a foreign concept to the cast of the Netflix series “Love is Blind.” Millennials and Gen Z have knocked down conventional marriage expectations by taking more time to get to know their partner and aim to be financially secure before putting a ring on it. Fed up with waiting around for love, the cast of “Love is Blind” set out to find their spouse solely off emotional connection without ever meeting face-to-face.

After only thirty-eight days of filming, couples made a life-changing decision. Walking down the aisle dressed in a white wedding dress and black tuxedo, the wedding officiant asked whether or not they wanted to say ‘I do’ or ‘I don’t.’ The season finale provided us with the decision of each couple, but where are they now? Next Friday, March 4th, Netflix will release the reunion special. Friday is too far away, so here are some conclusions about the status of each relationship based on social media.

Deepti and Shake

Shake struggled with believing that love is truly blind. Deepti and Shake grew a friendship like no other, even calling one another ‘best friend.’ After meeting face-to-face, Shake struggled to feel a physical attraction towards Deepti. When asking his mom for advice she said that Deepti “doesn’t deserve someone who gives her even a half percent less.”

Blowing us away, Deepti denied Shake at the altar. At the wedding, she professed that she couldn’t marry him because she deserves someone who chooses her. They are both following each other on Instagram. Shake posted a photo of him and Deepti at Nobu. His caption said, “I have a reservation at Nobu. Yes. THAT reservation.” Deepti posted a photo of her and Sal dissing Shake by saying, “Unshakeable vibes.”

Danielle and Nick

Danielle and Nick were the first to get engaged in the pods. The two bonded over being children of divorced parents. They got in a few fights along the way, but ultimately, they found love and committed to one another at the wedding. On Instagram, Danielle posted about the panic attack she had in Mexico. The comments proved Nick’s support of Danielle saying, “always proud of you, your vulnerability, and your strength.” In addition, both Nick and Danielle have re-posted fans’ posts congratulating them on their wedding.

Natalie and shayne

Natalie and Shayne’s relationship was steady throughout the show. Fellow cast members said if anyone was to get married at the end it would be Natalie and Shayne. However, their relationship was far from perfect. The day before the wedding night, the couple got into a heated argument. During the fight, Shayne told Natalie that he “hated” her and that she was the “worst thing” that has ever happened to him. If a pre-wedding fight isn’t a red flag, what is? Natalie denied Shayne at the altar and told him that they needed to work out their issues first.

Natalie and Shayne are following one another on Instagram. Natalie posted a photo with Kyle, another contestant, on her Instagram story commenting #kytalie. In another post, Natalie wrote, “he may have abs but I have IBS.” Is the “he” who she is referring to, Shayne?

Mallory and Sal

The couple formed an immediate deep connection in the pods over their shared Mexican culture and being open about their feelings. After meeting face-to-face, Mallory struggled with feeling physically attracted to Sal. Needing more time to develop their relationship, Sal called off the wedding. As mentioned previously, Sal was seen on Deepti’s Instagram story. Mallory and Sal did not post anything regarding their relationship, but they are following each other.

Iyanna and Jarette

Iyanna and Jarette formed a relationship from the get-go, but Jarette formed two strong relationships with two separate women. After becoming engaged, Iyanna felt as though she was Jarette’s second choice, and she constantly became frustrated when Jarette would stay out late and party with his friends.

Both Iyanna and Jarette follow each other on Instagram. Recently, Iyanna had re-posted posts of friends, family, and friends congratulating them on their beautiful wedding. Jarette posted a clip of the show of meeting face-to-face for the first time. He captioned the post “some things are better left unsaid…but seeing her for the first time truly left me speechless.”
