Preparing for graduation can be overwhelming and nerve wrecking. There is also the task of applying to jobs while taking finals. There can be a song feeling of uncertainty, but taking certain steps to help ensure that graduation goes smoothly can help. The graduation tasks can seem endless, but in the end, they are worth it. Make sure to follow your checklist to help prepare for this occasion. Working with your counselor can also be of help.

Meeting with your counselor to review your classes can make it easier. Make sure you are taking the right classes and signing up for the correct ones. They can also let you know what your graduation requirements are and ensure that you get them done. Completing your graduation application is your first step, printing your name as exactly as you want it to appear on your diploma. Also register to participate in the ceremony and walk. A graduation fee needs to be paid for to ensure you are enrolled into the ceremony.

Most importantly, order your cap and gown on time. If your school does fittings, make sure you make time to get one. It is also optional to order a class ring and graduation invitations. The ring can be an emblem of the time spent at your college obtaining your degree.

Plan to take some graduation pictures. This can be a great time to capture some mementos for you to keep as well as get some current headshots for professional use. You can order some to send out with invitations if you plan to do some. You can also send some pictures to your family members for them to keep.

Number one priority is to complete all school requirements to ensure you are eligible to graduate. Submit all projects and make time to study for finals. Complete all finals on time. Pay all fees. Once these are completed you can just focus on getting ready and preparing for the graduation ceremony! Be proud of yourself for all the hard work you have done!
