Cute Dessert Places in the Phoenix Area

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GCU chapter.

Here is a list of a few of the unique and tasty dessert places in the Phoenix area. Take a break from homework and studying and go out with your friends or significant other. Treat yourself, you deserve it!

1. Pop’N Tea Bar 550 W. McDowell Rd, Phx, AZ 85003

Home of the Diamond Bars, uniquely shaped gelato bars that come in a variety of flavors such as mint, cookies & cream, and raspberry. Also serves boba, smoothies, and slushies. The environment is cute and clean. Plus, there is a great wall to take photos with. I’ve definitely seen this background before on my Instagram feed. The gelato bars are delicious, and I am looking forward to going back in the future.

2. Fried Ice & Bubble Tea Fried Ice & Bubble Tea 1575 E. Camelback Rd, Phx, AZ 85014

Fried Ice & Bubble Tea sell boba and rolled ice cream. Not only is it cool to watch the employees make the rolled treat, but the ice cream tastes great, and I love how cute and decorated it is. The environment is friendly and chill, and a huge highlight is that it’s located next to a revolving sushi station, which is also great. So you can go straight from your dinner to your dessert! 1575 E.

3. Raspados Solaris Phoenix 9204 N 7th St, Phx, AZ 85020

Serves authentic Mexican handcrafted raspados, or shaved ice. All of the drinks and treats are beautifully topped and there are flavors to suit every palate. From strawberry horchata to mango to chocolate; a guest can choose to go either the sweet or spicy route. I have not tried this place yet, but it is definitely next on my list.

4. Churroholic 2000 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281

This dessert line is actually a chain that originated in Anaheim, California. They offer gourmet churros topped with cinnamon, Oreos, or even cereal and can be served with ice cream. Coffee drinks, milk teas, slushies, and horchata are also available. I have been here a few times and taken different friends- who have all loved it. Would totally recommend if you like churros!

5. Sugar Bowl 4005 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251

The Sugar Bowl is an old-fashioned diner located in Downtown Scottsdale. They serve milkshakes, malts, sundaes, and traditional diner-style food. The restaurant has an old-timey, pink aesthetic that is great for pictures. Also has a game room filled with arcade games, so it’s fun for the whole family. The desserts are sweet and pretty large, so I recommend sharing.

6. UNBaked 3712 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85281

UNBaked is an edible cookie dough shop that is also in Downtown Scottsdale. They have a variety of cookie dough flavors from traditional chocolate chip to s’mores to funfetti, and they even offer some gluten-free and vegan options. Ice cream, shakes, and other unique cookie dough creations are also available. The store is cute and has a bright neon sign for guests to take pictures with. The treats are super sweet, so be prepared for a toothache!
