This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GCU chapter.

Reading is an escape for some people, always allowing their minds to run as they read the words across a page. For me, reading allows not only a vivid picture, almost movie like, but also the unreliable escape from the real world. I am the kid who holds a hatred towards sports and brings a book with her to her brother’s games. Here are 5 books that you may love ,as much as I do, if you simply give them a shot.
