Spread the love you guys! Isn’t it amazing that there exists an entire holiday dedicated to celebrating the people you love? What could be more important? And no matter your relationship status, or the number of Hallmark adds you’ve seen lately, this deserves to be a special holiday. Here are a few ideas to get you started celebrating and appreciating!

1. Give each of your friends a Valentine from their favorite fandom! They’ll adore it and know you adore them. It’s double the love. Plus these things are all over the internet for free. #lovedon’tcostathing.

2. Make someone you care about a Valentine’s Day mixtape! The best language of love is music and there are an infinite number of love songs. Some suggestions: “Firday I’m in Love” the Cure, “I Want You to Want Me” Letters to Cleo, “Happy Together” the Turtles. Make it your own and have fun decorating the cd cover!

3. Don’t be afraid to dress up! Wear red and pink or even wear a Cupid costume if you’re feeling especially silly!

4. Valentine’s Day is not just about romantic love. I thought we’d already established that! Go find you’re bestest friend and let ’em know how much you flippin’ love them! You have an excuse to be sappy! Have a galentine’s day or a palentine’s day. Get your BFF a coffee mug full of candy and stuff your faces full of sweets. Rent a movie from Amazon together then talk through the whole thing. Treat your best friend to waffles.

This is your chance to spread the love! Now go forth and make plans before you’ve got three online assignments and a paper to write! Happy Valentine’s Day, guys!
