What year are you?
Senior
Major?
Psychology, and a French minor
Hometown?
Fayetteville, GA
What types of extra-curricular activities are you involved in?
I’m an intern for the international office, a Bobcat Abroad Ambassador, and a tutor in the language lab. I’m part of the psychology honors society, Psi Chi, along with four other honors societies. And I just got elected president of the French Club.
What are you hoping to do as French Club president this year?
I want to get more people excited about French culture in any way that we can. Some of the events that we’ve planned are really exciting, like we have a pot luck dinner coming up on Wednesday. We just want to get people involved so that next year, after I’ve graduated and someone else is president, the club will still thrive.
What’s the most exciting thing you’ve done as part of the French department?
Over the summer I did a study abroad trip to Rouen, France and it was so much fun. Being immersed in the language and the culture was such a great experience. I wish everyone could take a trip like that. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to become a Bobcat Abroad Ambassador—so that I could share my amazing experience with others.
What was the best part about your study abroad experience?
My favorite part has to be living with a host family. Getting to see the way that a French family interacts everyday was so cool, and I felt like I learned more from living among actual French people than living with other American students. I would definitely recommend it!
