What clubs/organizations are you in and what are your leadership positions in them?

I am the treasurer for the Christian sorority sigma alpha omega. I am also the treasurer for Freedom Fighters of Georgia College, which is an organization that raises awareness to the 27 million people in modern day slavery.

Why do you want to be a teacher?

The Lord has given me a passion for learning and leadership. I want to see the next generation grow to be lifelong learners and passionate leaders who challenge the status quo and change the world.

 What inspires you most?

Jesus. Because he came down from his thrown to serve. What other King has done that? He is my inspiration every day. I want to serve and love people the way he did.

What would you say is your fashions sense/style?

It depends on what day your asking. Monday,Wednesday, Friday I would consider myself lounge, grunge style. Tuesday and Thursday I would say professional (I have student teaching on these days). And the weekends I find myself wearing comfortable, casual, yet different.

What advice would you give to anyone on how to enjoy their college experience?

Live each day as if it were your last. Love people, serve people, laugh with people, create memories because that’s all our lives really are… Memories.

Do you have any hobbies?

Reading, enoing, listening to music, dancing, working out, spending time with people

Favorite travel destination and why?

Bermuda because there are pink sand beaches and clear blue waters. The closest thing to perfect I have ever seen.

What has been your most enlightening experience in college? What will you take away from your experience?

Standing for 27 hours for the 27 million. At times during the stand I was tired, exhausted, and burned out. But The Lord kept reminding me that this is how these people feel everyday of their lives. Most of them do not have a light at the end of the tunnel or a hope to cling to. From this experience, I have learned determination, perseverance, and boldness. I have learned to stand up for justice even if it means looking different than everyone else. I have learned that I will not stop fighting until every human being sees freedom in Jesus’ name.

Author of the Forget Me Not Trilogy. Drinker of too much coffee. Obsessed with all things French. Owner of pink, sparkly things. In love with Jesus!
