For this Mother’s Day, I wanted to highlight the amazing Mother figures that have impacted the Her Campus team.

Mom,

There will never be enough words, paper, or time to express to you how having you as my mother has impacted my life. You were born to do so many things. Raising siblings like they were your children from a very young age, and paving a way for yourself to achieve higher education in a family that was not exactly supportive of you doing so.

You have pushed the boundaries placed on you all your life, and inspired me to do the same. You were born to do many things, but I feel you were born to be my mother. I am so proud to be your daughter, and I am so thankful you fought so hard to add me to this family. Your bravery is unlike any I have known before, and I am sure I don’t even know the half of all you have overcome.

As I have grown, I have realized the impact a mother has on someones life. I would not be who I am without your influence in my life, without your guidance and support as I figured out who I was. All the good in me is derived from you, and the warmth that you have radiated throughout my entire life.

I hope to be half of the mother you continue to be someday, and I hope my children feel about me how I feel about you. Honored to be yours, always. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.

Love,

Simone

Mom,

I am constantly inspired by the quiet grace and strength with which you carry yourself every day. The way you continue to build your career, lift our family up, and carry on your mother’s legacy makes me so grateful to have come from a family of such special women. I look up to you in more ways than you will ever know.

Thank you for the constant support, the attitude checks, the gossip sessions, the life lessons, the real talk, and all the love. I am so proud to be your daughter and hope that one day I can be half the woman that you are. Happy Mother’s Day.

All my love,

Gabrielle

Dear Mom,

There is no way to tell you how grateful I am to have you as my mom or how much I love you, but here it goes. By watching the way you treat others, you have taught me to be selfless and kind. No matter how busy you are, you always make time for family, friends, and strangers. By watching you persevere through some bad times, you taught me to be resilient and strong. You raised three kids all by yourself! You are absolutely remarkable!

You also taught me to follow my dreams, I remember sitting in the car and you telling me how you didn’t become an accountant because you never understood how smart you are and if was a field dominated by men. You are brilliant! I think about this all the time and it helps me to challenge myself. But now you are pursuing a new dream! You flip houses for a living! Joanna Gaines ain’t got nothing on you! You have taught me that if I work hard enough anything is possible.

Mom, you are absolutely incredible. You’re my best friend and my biggest supporter. I can say with 100% certainty that I would not be the woman I am today without you. Thank you.

I love you to the moon,

Margaret

Mom,

Who else would sit on the phone with me for hours—sometimes screaming, sometimes saying nothing at all? Who else would drive miles to watch me from the sidelines, or send me off on a plane to chase my dreams? Who else would teach me how to cook over FaceTime when I’m away, or make my favorite meal when I come home? Who else would let me steal all the clothes from her closet just for fun, or let me cry on her lap when I’m down?

No one else would know what to do with me, and no one else would have the patience to do it. Your friends say that I’m a mirror image of you when you were my age; I hope I’m a mirror image of you when I’m yours.

To the hardest working, persevering, selfless, one of a kind mother, happy Mother’s Day to you.

Love,

Steph

For those of you who are mentioned, and those of you who are not, we admire and love you always. Thank you for being ours.
