Top 6 Vegetarian Restaurants in Tallahassee

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

It can be tough finding decent meatless meals that aren’t salad. Luckily, these local favorites have got us non-meat-eaters covered.

Sweet Pea Café

So this isn’t one single meal, as it is every single meal here is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The entire menu is vegan and local, so there is no wrong answer. The black bean burger is to die for, but feel free to try one of everything on the menu.

Merv’s Melt Shop

The word “vegetarian” may not pop into your head when you think of Merv’s but they actually have a variety of gourmet grilled cheeses to choose from! My personal favorite is the Caprese grilled cheese which already comes without meat, but if you’re interested in one that has meat in it, just ask and they’re happy to switch it up!

Vale Food Co.

On the days that you feel like something quick and healthy, Vale is the place to go! They now offer tofu and the buffalo flavor comes highly recommended (from me). Load up on your favorite starches and veggies to balance out all your food groups and you’re good to go.

Chili’s

If you don’t feel like leaving campus to get some good grub, then Chili’s is a great choice. Their black bean burger is delectable; pair it with their French fries and you’re eating in veg paradise.

Moe’s

Not exactly a Tallahassee exclusive but it’s always a popular destination for college students. Since Moe’s is all about customization, you can make anything there without meat! Bonus tip: ordering without meat makes your order cheaper!

Mr. Roboto’s

Tennessee’s most popular Asian restaurant has plenty of vegetarian options! Instead of ordering chicken or beef, you can choose tofu + veggies for nearly any flavor option. They have plenty of sushi too if you eat fish and they even have sushi options without any fish!
