The Stages of Preparing for Halloween as Told by Halloween Classics

Every fall we are welcomed with the greatest holiday to explore our inner debauchery habits. Halloween is basically the pregame for the rest of the holiday season, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. On the way to get ~spooky~ this Halloween, every collegiette has surely experienced these pre-Halloween moments:

1. Trying to hold back from buying every Halloween decoration at Target.

2. Experiencing pure ecstasy when you have your first PSL of the season.

3. Telling yourself you’ll plan your Halloween costume a month in advance.

4. Then realizing Halloween is in three days and your costume is non-existent.

5. Spending your grocery allowance on a Halloween costume you’ll only wear for five hours.

6. Realizing you might need more than one costume, so you drop more money on another (slightly less exciting) costume.

7. Feeling the slight breeze in the air after when the weather drops six degrees.

8. Waking up on Halloween day and letting all your inner spooky behavior out.

9. Running out of your last class so you can start prepping for your night out.

10. Then falling asleep on the couch for four hours.

11. Feeling the joy of finally wearing your costume out and taking the best Instagram pic EVER.

12. Going out and examining your costume every 10 minutes to make sure it isn’t wrecked.

13. Realizing it is.

14. Going to a frat party and realizing everyone is a mess.

15. Finally getting home after a night of sin (or not) and watching Hocus Pocus.

16. Going to the drugstore the next day to load up on discounted candy.
