The Fishtail Braid

This is a look that is popular even among celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens, Leona Lewis and Blake Lively. The fishtail gives your usual braids a unique, new look. Not only will your hair be out of your face with this style, but you’ll look classy and sophisticated, as well. To start, separate your hair into two even sections. Then, take a small portion from the outermost section and pull it under the opposite side. Repeat this step on the other side, and switch between sides every time until your hair is braided. You can wear this to the side, or to the back. For a visual step-by-step, check out this tutorial.

The Dragged Side Braid

Curly hair can be controlled while still being free with the dragged side braid. To start, you’ll have to part your hair to the middle. Once you part it, you have to take a large section from the side. Divide this section into three equal strands and hold them apart. Begin by pulling these strands away from your face and braid normally. Once you are done, secure it with a band, tuck it behind your ear and pin it back. This is an easy, everyday hairstyle that will have you looking like a celebrity!

The Messy Bun

The messy bun is an effortless hairstyle that looks good on any girl. The trick for achieving this look is to use bobby pins instead of hair securing bands. This will loosely hold your hair in place, giving you that messy, chic look you were going for. You can also add a nice side dragged braid to your messy bun to make yourself stand out and elevate this simple style.

The Knot Ponytail

Just because ponytails are the easiest way to get your hair out your face, it is not necessarily the most stylish. Spice up your do by trying this knot ponytail for a classy look. It is a unique hairstyle that you can use in the daytime, nighttime, in the work place and even when you’re going out. This is a perfect hairstyle for when you’re running late and do not want your boss to know, or when Florida’s humidity has changed your plans for your hair. This ponytail is almost as easy as the original, we promise! To begin, part your hair into two sections. Then, tie the two sections into a knot and tie it with an elastic band. Add a few wand waves to make this look even more fun and cute. It’s a great way to showoff more of your laidback side.
