With the recent resurgence in popularity of the Hunger Games series, lots of people have been making their dream tribute lineups out of celebrities, pop culture icons, and movie and TV show characters. I can’t lie, I’ve been completely immersed in this Hunger Games revival and had to jump on this trend to share my own personal ideal tribute lineup in the Hunger Games.
president: Ru paul
In my opinion, Ru Paul possesses a power like none other. As the host of a show as huge and glamorous as Ru Paul’s Drag Race, you have no choice but to have strong authority and the ability to command a room. As president, Ru Paul would definitely use these skills to rule Panem.
GAME MAKER: Eric (South Park)
If you’ve ever seen even one episode of South Park, you can understand why Eric was the obvious choice here. I can’t think of anyone more equipped to make the most out-of-pocket, thrilling game. He would cause copious amounts of mass destruction and imagining him and Ru Paul working hand-in-hand is a hilarious image in my mind.
Master of Ceremonies/Show Host: Wendy Williams
I don’t feel like I really need to explain this one. You can see it, I can see it, and I think we’re all on the same page.
District One – Luxury: Jay Gatsby (The Great Gatsby) and Trisha Paytas
These two were my immediate picks for the representative tributes from District One. Jay Gatsby would refuse to be in any District except the one centered around luxury, and I feel like he would be the kind of guy to think he has such a good shot at winning that he volunteers. Trisha Paytas is definitely a luxurious lady, and I 100 percent can imagine her volunteering just to thicken the plot in her life. She would also absolutely eat up the interviews and parades before the games even start.
District Two – Weaponry: Ashtray (Euphoria) and Chip and Joana (Fixer Upper)
I feel very passionate about my choices for this one. As an ally, I feel like Ashtray would absolutely have your back. I could see him going really far into the games with his fiery attitude, lack of fear for most concerning things, and his skills with guns. Chip and Joana would go in together, obviously, because you just can’t separate them. I don’t know why but it just makes complete sense to me that they’d be a part of these games.
District Three – Technology: Hero Hamada (Big Hero 6) and Neville Papperman (iCarly)
Hero would absolutely demolish everyone in these games, and I stand strongly by that. His technological abilities would give the entire group of tributes a run for their money. I deeply believe that he could win the games if he wanted to. Neville Papperman, on the other hand, is a menace with a knack for technological developments that benefit his personal gain. He absolutely belongs in these games. He’d destroy the self-esteem of half the tributes in there to give himself a leg-up.
District Four – Fishing: Fish (Chicken Little) and Cleo Sertori (H2O: Just Add Water)
Fish would whip out some of his inner demons for sure in these games. He’s all fun and laughs until something important is at stake and then boom, he’s ready to fight. I won’t lie, I don’t see Cleo doing very well in these games, but I feel like she would give it her best shot if she was reaped. She’d be a fan favorite with many sponsors all the way until the end.
District Five – Power: Mr. Electric (The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl) and Judge Judy
Mr. Electric would be a force to be reckoned with if he ever was in the Hunger Games. I would be absolutely terrified of this man if I was in the arena. I don’t think he’d have any allies, but he would certainly dominate by inspiring fear in everyone. Judge Judy would be the only one to try to get in Mr. Electric’s head and become his ally, but I can’t even see that going well. She would definitely make some fun allies though with her powers of persuasion.
District Six – Transportation: James Corden and Paul Blart (Paul Blart: Mall Cop)
James Corden would undoubtedly be the personality tribute, kind of like a personality hire. No one would have any real beef with him, except for maybe a couple of tributes from the Career Districts that would get annoyed with him and try to finish him off. I can see him having lots of sponsors though, so he would probably be fine. As for Paul Blart, there is no doubt anywhere in my mind that he wouldn’t be the underdog of this game lineup. He would be in it to win it and willing to risk it all.
District Seven – Lumber: The Lorax (The Lorax) and Woody Woodpecker
The Lorax is the obvious choice for the lumber district. He would tackle any arena layout with strategic planning and a love for the trees. Woody Woodpecker would just be dragged into the games and try his best. I can imagine these two having a beautiful alliance.
District Eight – Textiles: Tan France and Harper Finkle (Wizards of Waverly Place)
My man Tan has got this in the bag. He would camouflage super well as Peeta did in the first Hunger Games. He would make it far, but because he’s too kind-hearted to actually kill anyone. When that becomes an issue, I can see it leading to his downfall. Harper would bring the heat and would do fabulously in the pre-games press era. On her show, she has to deal with being wrapped in some fairly messy situations with Alex Russo, so I can see her handling conflict in these games well.
District Nine – Grain: Buddy Valastro (Cake Boss) and Guy Fieri
Again, I feel these are obvious choices that I don’t feel the need to explain. We all know that this would be quite the power duo.
District 10 – Livestock: Steve Irwin and Judy Hopps (Zootopia)
Steve Irwin would take on these games like it was his entire purpose in life. He would put his heart, soul, and nothing less into surviving and becoming a victor. I just know it in my bones. Judy Hopps could be a force to be reckoned with in this lineup, honestly. She has spunk and a lack of fear that makes her a fierce opponent.
District 11 – Agriculture: Otis the Cow (Barnyard) and Ree Drummond (The Pioneer Woman)
What a team. Otis would have the time of his life prepping for the games, but when the actual games come around, it’s tough to know whether he’d fight or just run into the forest to hide. The Pioneer Woman is such a gentle soul. I think that she would work to make many allies that would protect her for a while, but I’m not sure how well she would do in the grand scheme of things.
District 12- Coal Mining: Yukon Cornelius (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer) and Nick and Nack (Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper)
All right, hear me out. I think Yukon Cornelius is taking home the win on this one. I feel like he has the skills and the right amount of cleverness to take him all the way home. I don’t think he’d ally with many but he doesn’t really need to rely on anyone else. Nick and Nack would be the most hilarious people to ever go into a Hunger Games. I think one of them would probably accidentally step off the platform too early, blowing both of them up. That way of going just makes sense for them.
Now that you’ve seen my ideal tribute lineup, I hope you feel inspired enough to go make your own. It’s a super fun way to get in the Hunger Games spirit with all its current popularity, and it’s hilarious to see whom you and your friends see as all the different tributes. So, happy game-making, and may the odds be ever in your favor.
