Some Stylish, yet Comfortable Shoes for Walking Lots on Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

With the fall semester in full swing, students are finding themselves walking all around campus, whether it’s to get to classes, to parking garages, or some lunch. The combination of thousands of steps and warm, humid weather puts a lot of stress on feet and sometimes causes unwanted blisters or aching arches. But stylish shoes don’t need to be sacrificed for keeping feet comfortable. Here are some trendy, fashionable shoes that are sure to preserve foot comfort while trekking all around campus.

1. nike cortez

Over the years, Nike Cortez sneakers have remained a constantly trending shoe. The classic design was first released in the seventies and has been a well-known shoe ever since. The traditional Nike Cortez model is so timeless as it features primary colors red and blue. But there are also designs featuring orange and green. On the bottom of the shoes, there is a jagged rubber layer on the outside that is squishy enough to be super comfortable with each step, while also being formed enough to look sporty, yet trendy. There is no doubt that these Nike sneakers have a fun vintage feel, as they are an iconic design sure to never go out of style. A pair of Nike Cortez sneakers won’t ever fail to keep feet comfy while being a fashionable staple to any outfit.

2. new balance 237s

These timeless sneakers come in a multitude of color combinations sure to compliment any outfit. With a suede liner and a thin, breathable fabric surrounding feet, New Balance 237s maximize airflow to keep feet cool in the muggy, Florida heat. New Balance 237s have a vintage look to them that almost appears like a shoe from the eighties. Available in neutral, earthy tones or bright, colorful statement combinations, there is a pair that can suit any style or look. Comfort is important, so these New Balances have a squishy, yet subtle bottom that adds an extra level of support, perfect for going long distances.

3. Converse chuck 70s

These Converse offer a fun twist on the typical high tops. Bringing back the original Converse design, Converse Chuck 70s have a vintage look with modern comfort. The canvas on these Converse are thicker and more durable than the traditional model and come in a selection of alternative colors. Additionally, Converse had released several limited-edition collections featuring Chuck 70s with exciting, artistic patterns and designs. According to Converse, Chuck 70s are the most comfortable model of shoe offered.

4. converse run star hikes

There is no doubt that there is a platform sneakers craze right now, but sometimes platforms can be heavy and uncomfortable, but not the Converse Run Star Hikes. These platform, high-top Converse give those wearing them a couple-inch boost without the feeling of added weight that typically comes with most platforms. The bottom of these practical, yet chic shoes have a jagged rubber layer on the outside of the shoe, adding extra tread and a spring-feeling while walking. Coming in a variety of color combinations, these shoes are easy to express yourself in while still keeping feet happy.
