Tiktok, a Chinese application that allows its members to post videos of their day to day lives, has taken the world by storm. Although millions of people post every single day, none are perhaps as well known as the members of the Hype House. This collaboration house is made up of 20 popular teenage TikTok stars like Charli D’Amelio, Addison Rae and Chase Hudson, all of whom have over 15 million followers on the app.

In order to remain a member of this idolized group, each member is required to create quality daily content for their supporters. Rather than taking their success on the platform as a joke, these young adults work hard to maintain longevity and relevancy.

However, only a few months after its formation, the Hype House is in danger of tumbling down. Daisy Keech, a 20-year-old Californian fitness model, has recently left after not being credited as a co-founder of the Hype House.

According to an interview given by Insider, Thomas Petrou, a well-known vlogger, formulated the idea for the Hype House after being inspired by Jake Paul’s Team 10. After meeting Daisy Keech and Chase Hudson, better known as Lil’ Huddy, the three formally created the Hype House and gathered influencers together to start it. Currently, only Petrou and Hudson are publicly credited for the creation of the group. This tension has caused the three of them to involve lawyers as they fight for the trademark of the Hype House name. Although she has not publicly confirmed nor denied this, there are also rumors that Daisy plans to use other well-known TikTokers to create her own social media house.

Chase Hudson, a 17-year-old from California, is no stranger to Internet scandals. Last year, a Snapchat video was leaked of him shamelessly using the n-word in casual conversation. This led many members of the TikTok community to satirically refer to him as their “African king” or their “melanin prince.” Now, he and Josh Richards, a member of the Sway House, are in the middle of public disagreement.

On March 20. 2020, Josh Richards and Bryce Hall released a diss track called “STILL SOFTISH,” against Chase Hudson. In their song, they criticized Chase for allegedly messaging Nessa Barrett, who is Josh’s girlfriend, in an attempt to sleep with her. They also reference Charli D’Amelio, who is rumored to be Chase’s girlfriend, and share that he may not be completely loyal to her. Although Charli has made no public comments on the matter, her mother tweeted a statement indirectly chastising the boys in support of the reputation of her 15-year-old daughter.

Although things appeared to be rather tense between the boys for a few days, on March 24, they all appeared in one another’s TikToks. Josh Richards made a Twitter post sharing that although their friendship was not at the same level that it used to be, the three had managed to make amends.

Will all of these issues eventually lead to the end of the Hype House as we know it? Or are they simply fabricated claims used to gain more clout? Only time will tell.
