When it comes to makeup, I can definitely appreciate a fully contoured beat with a dramatic eyeshadow look, but personally, I like to save these looks for a date night or going out with friends. On a daily basis, especially during quarantine hours, I prefer something quick and lightweight that will still leave me feeling refreshed and cute. Here are my top five essential must-have makeup products for a quick everyday look. Before quarantine, this was my go-to look for college classes and running errands but even now during the lockdown, I still think it’s important to take time to actually put on some real clothes and make an effort to look put together even though the only place we’re going is to the living room. Don’t get me wrong, I’m totally guilty of those boring quarantine days lying around in pajamas all day and barely brushing my hair, let alone putting on makeup. But in doing that, I felt so groggy and out of touch with myself. Totally not a good feeling. So, I recently began to put in the effort to wake up, do my morning skincare routine and follow up with this quick but cute makeup routine. I have felt so much better and it even encourages me to be more productive during the day. The best part? It only takes 15 minutes maximum and literally only requires five makeup products so it’s perfect for beginners just diving into the makeup world. You can use any brand of choice, these are just my favorites.

Too Faced Born This Way Concealer

This is my absolute favorite concealer of all time. After moisturizer and primer, I typically do a quick swipe under my under-eyes to conceal any darkness and spot-conceal on any blemishes or problem areas, and it provides such good coverage without being too cakey. It feels hydrating on the skin as it is formulated with coconut water, alpine rose and hyaluronic acid – all skin-loving ingredients that come together for a creaseless finish. After blending down to look seamless, remember to set with setting powder! I really like opting for just a concealer rather than a full-on foundation on an everyday basis just for the fact that it looks and feels way more natural and less heavy on the skin. However, it still brightens up the entire face, evens skin tone and blurs out blemishes without being cakey!

Eyelash Curler

Okay, so this isn’t really a makeup product but it’s essential in my makeup routine. I find that it really opens up my eyes and makes me look more awake while giving me a defining curl for extra drama. Even on days where I’m wearing no makeup, I’ll just whip out the eyelash curler and it makes such a difference. Pre-quarantine, I was that girl who carried my eyelash curler with me everywhere.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz

Eyebrows are so important to me. While I have finally grown my eyebrows back in after some severe over-plucking in middle school and high school (guilty), I still like to lightly fill them in and shape them using my go-to eyebrow pencil. The Anastasia Brow Wiz does such a good job of creating natural strokes while still defining your brows and making them stand out. I use it in the shade medium brown.

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Literally my favorite mascara of all time, it goes both ways to curl and lengthen your lashes. With such a basic makeup routine, mascara really makes such a difference and adds so much flair to the look. They offer this mascara in both brown and black colors.

NYX Lip Liner + Fenty Lip Gloss

Lips are definitely my favorite part of any routine, whether it be a full-beat glam or natural daily makeup, I’m obsessed with a good glossy, nude lip. NYX cosmetics has the best lip liners for such cheap prices and you can find them at most drugstores. I like using a brownish-nude lip liner to kind of contour my lips in a way, lining them all around and then adding a small line in the middle of the bottom lip to create a plumping effect. My go-to lip liner is the NYX Nude Truffle Liner, which is, in my opinion, the perfect nude. After lining, I like to glide on some lip gloss. My favorite is the Fenty Gloss Bomb Glass Slipper. Not only is it from Miss Rihanna’s brand but it’s literally the perfect clear lip gloss without any shimmer or glitter.
