Fall and winter both allow shelves across stores to be filled with seasonal items. Once Oct. rolls around, it is nearly impossible to walk into a store without seeing a seasonally themed item. While some find it overbearing, I love fall and I love winter. Below, I’ve gathered some of my favorite items for the seasons this year. Scroll through to find out the things you want to add to your wish list or use it as a gift guide for your loved ones– either way, these items are sure to put a smile on someone’s face this holiday season.

For Your Home

1. Peppermint Candle

I didn’t know this was possible, but my life has been changed this month – by a candle. A few days ago, my roommate brought home a peppermint candle, and life has not been the same. It smells INCREDIBLE. Clean, Christmas-y and inviting all at the same time. This scent will make the perfect addition to any room in the house.

2. Trader Joe’s Spiced Apple Cider

Oh. My. Gosh. Trader Joe’s is always well-known, and loved, for their seasonal items… but this Spiced Apple Cider is truly to die for. You can drink it cold, or warm, and it is promised to make it feel as “fall” as possible. It’s also a staple for lots of fall recipes, including Hot Cider Oatmeal.

3. Crushed Candy Canes

These are always a staple in my kitchen when the colder months roll around. Crushed Candy Canes/Peppermint are so versatile. My favorite ways to use them? Pour them into coffee or tea and stir! They melt away and add an incredible peppermint flavor that is sure to make it feel like Christmas.

Fashion

1. An Everyday, Staple Boot

Being from Miami, I grew up in sandals and flip flops. However, moving to Florida State, I’ve realized that as soon as the temperature drops, open-toed shoes have got to go. After three years at FSU, and of enduring winter months, I’ve finally found the perfect go-to boots for the colder months: Blundstone and Doc Martens. These are two boots that I consider “investment” pieces. While they are out of a ~typical~ college budget, they are worth every penny. Both brands provide quality, comfort and cuteness to every step you take in them. If you can’t justify spending on these brands, that’s okay! Find a brand that works for you, but make sure to stay warm!

2. A Denim Jacket

I don’t have much to say about this, except, since I’ve gotten one that I love, I’ve worn it almost every day. This. Is. Everything. Buy a denim jacket, please. It will keep you warm; it will make you feel chic; it will add character to your next outfit. There are so many ways to wear a jean jacket! Besides, this can be worn all year round depending on the outfit!

3. Black Sweater

A staple every girl should have in her closet. A black sweater can be worn with jeans, with leggings, under a denim jacket, alone, with a statement necklace or scarf. There are endless ways to wear a black sweater. Stay warm, stay chic. The best part about a black sweater staple, is that there are endless options. Try your favorite store to find your next favorite black sweater.

Music

1. Let Me Drive You Home Playlist

This playlist is such a, for lack of better terms, vibe. It has some incredible songs for your next drive home or for whenever you’re hanging out at home or doing homework – anytime, really. It has artists like Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean and more lowkey artists like Ziggy Alberts.

2. Coldplay’s New Album

Releasing on Nov. 22, emotions are through the roof for this one. They have released just a few songs as a preview for their newest album, Everyday Life. Check them out on Apple Music or Spotify!
