Meet Matt Roque!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at FSU chapter.

Meet Matt Roque! This hardcore Seminole is a certified good time and a gentleman at that! Read on to find out just how interesting this campus cutie is.

Name: Matt Roque

Age: 20 (He’ll be 21 in March!)

Year: Junior

Hometown: Parkland, FL

Major: Finance and Sports Management

Relationship Status: Single

Her Campus (HC): What on-campus organizations and/or clubs do you participate in?

Matt Roque (MR):  I am a member of Chi Phi fraternity and an Orientation Leader.

HC: What is you favorite thing about FSU?

MR:  My favorite thing about FSU is the atmosphere. Everyone loves the school, but having the prettiest girls in the country isn’t a bad thing either.

HC:  What is your favorite memory about FSU thus far in your collegiate career?

MRMy favorite memory in college thus far is a tie. I’m stuck between winning dance marathon—seeing the impact we made on those families is something I will never forget—and the next thing has to be getting initiated into Chi Phi. I can’t even explain how good it felt finishing pledge ship.

HC: Give us your description of a perfect date?

MR:  Okay, the perfect date would start by picking her up and surprising her with her favorite flowers. Then I would tell her we are going on a mini road trip, and I would surprise her with a picnic on the beach. When it starts to get darker and a little colder we would sit by the bonfire and do some s’mores or something… but what’s a perfect date without the perfect girl, right?

HC: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

MR: In ten years: Oh my god I’ll be 30.  I see myself graduated from law school, living in South Florida as a sports agent with my wife, maybe with a couple little Roques, with our dog Jameis (named after Jameis Winston).

HC: What is the one thing that you cannot live without?

MR: I definitely could not live without my siblings. They are my best friends that I am lucky enough to call my brothers and sisters. (3 sisters and 2 brothers)

HC: What is your favorite movie?

MR: My favorite movie is The Hangover because we have all woken up next to our best friends and looked at each other and asked, “What hell happened last night?”

HC: Britney Spears or Lady Gaga?

MR: I grew up with 3 sisters so I can always appreciate some pre-head-shaving-incident Britney… she’s a classic. HAHA.
